This recipe is ideal for babies from 8 months old and onwards.

Eggs are very nutritious

A good source of

  • Selinium
  • Riboflavin
  • Vitamin A
  • Vitamin E

Ingredients

  • 1 Egg Yolk
  • 1 Tablesoon of breastmilk or made up Milk Formula

You will need

  • 1 x Frying pan
  • 1 x Jug
  • 1 x whisk

Method

1) Crack an egg on the side of the jug and carefully tip the egg yolk from one half of the shell to the other until all the white has seperated and you are left with the yolk in the shell. Discard the white and place the yolk in the jug, along with your milk.

2) Whisk the yolk and milk thoroughly.

3) Put the frying pan on a low to medium heat, put a little bit of oil or unsalted butter into the pan and tip in your egg mixture.

4) Cook thoroughly for five to ten minutes while continuously mixing with a spatula.

5) Once cooked through, you could at this point add a herb of choice to enhance the flavouring. Fresh, green herbs like Parsley, Tarragon or Dill work very well.

6) You can also alter the thickness by adding more milk if you need to.

7) Serve!
