Heinz is recalling a batch of its Fruity Custard Fruit Medley baby food (4 x 100g pots) because it might contain small pieces of plastic that could cause choking.

The fruit custard is being recalled and notices will appear in national newspapers tomorrow, Wednesday 3 February 2010, and will also be displayed in the shops that stock the affected baby food. The notices will advise customers who have bought the product not to eat the custard but to contact the Heinz UK Careline on 08000 151 557, or 1800 696 979 in the Republic of Ireland, for a full refund.
