Product Review : Annabel Karmel Non Spill Cup

I have decided to provide some more thorough baby product reviews in order to help you decide what useful baby feeding and cooking gadgets you should spend your hard earned readies on.

There are plenty of times I have bought baby products in good faith only to find that they don’t do what is said on the tin. In some cases they do the exact opposite of what they promised on the tin! For example, non-spill cups that promise not to spill a drop of liquid, which manage to completely ruin the carpet with sugary spots of juice!

Hopefully my pain and suffering coupled with a bit of internet research and valuable advice from friends and family will help you decide what to buy by recommending certain baby products.

Today, I bring you the Annabel Karmel Non Spill Cup made by Lindam.

I will admit right now that I haven’t owned one of these (I have owned plenty of poor substitutes in my time!) but a dear friend of mine, a father of three, swears by them.

Annabel Karmel Non Spill Cup

Annabel Karmel are known for their recipes, recipe books and food products. This non-spill cup is made by Lindam, a reputable company. It comes in this fetching, gender neutral red colour, boasts soft, easy grip handles and a soft drinking spout with a hygenic cover.

What we all really want to know though is whether it really is a non-spill cup?

My friend assures me that they’re very good as the lid is tight-fitting and the valve is good quality. I decided to test this out myself by borrowing one of his. The first test I did was to fill the cup with plain water and simply turned it upside down and started shaking and squeezing over our cream sofa. Nothing. Bone dry even after 30 seconds of frantic shaking with my daughter watching me in wonder.

Test two involved the same cup and water being place at the bottom of my bag (my Laptop bag!) and me commuting it all the way to work to London and back again that evening. It stood up very well to being jostled around on the train and bumped against other commuters. To be frank I completely forgot about it until that evening when I jumped up in the middle of Eastenders and ran to the kitchen like I had just remembered i’d left the iron on. The result? Bone dry.

So my conclusion based on my own tests and my friend’s assurance is that this Non Spill Cup really is a non spill cup that does what is say on the tin! If you agree or disagree I would love to hear from you.

If you approve of Annabel Karmel branded, Lindam baby products then you might want to also try other products in the set. Like the Annabel Karmel by Lindam Small Bowl Pack and Annabel Karmel by Lindam Feeding Spoons

All the best.
