Essential Equipment for your Weaning Baby

I have listed a few inexpensive gadgets here that are invaluable when preparing and serving food for our babies. Some of them we have used and would recommend – look out for my comments.

Baby Mouli Food Mill

Perfect for preparing soups, purees, sauces and baby foods, this rotary food mill is made from s/s and is easy to assemble. 3 grating discs are supplied for fine medium or coarse results. By turning the handle, food is pushed through the holes in the discs by means of a revolving s/s blade. Supports on the side of the mill allows it to sit firmly on top of a bowl or pan. Dishwasher safe.

Nick says : This food mill is very good value for money and is ideal for someone who does not own a blender and wouldn’t otherwise need one. It is of good enough quality to be able to manage vegetables without having to boil them to death and lose valuable nutrients!

Happy Mummy Baby Cubes Food Portioner

Non toxic pots with snap shut lid, dishwasher safe, microwave safe, steriliser safe, trays designed to stack on top of eachother for easy storage, BPA free, ideal for storing snacks or when out and about.

Nick says : Extremely useful and great value for money. We bought four sets of these and they’re still going. We actually also use them for making frozen lollies in the summer and portioning sauces and pestos so don’t just see them as baby food portioners.

Food Warmer Bowl and Cutlery

This Baby feeding set is designed to keep Baby food warm throughout the meal. All you need to do is unscrew the safety nozzle pour in warm water , then serve warm food in the plate.

The warm water stored within the plate will help keep Baby food warm longer than normal Baby plates. The feeding set is break-resistant, and has a strong suction base that will grip to any smooth, clean and flat surface, which makes it ideal for a Baby & Toddlers to self-feed.

Nick says : This is one we’ve used in the past and found it easy to use and good quality.

Fisher Price Food Warmer

A great way to warm up food for your baby when you’re out and about, this stainless steel flask has a blue plastic lid and comes with a storage pot and serving ring.

Nick says : We haven’t used this product but it looks pretty good as it comes with a flask to hold hot water with which you can warm the plate with.
